In addition to the fixed HD Series, HYDRONIXS delivers project-based custom-built hydraulic presses. These projects are intended for applications that fall outside the operating range of standardised hydraulic workshop presses and require a specific structural or functional design.
Custom-built projects are always assessed separately and fall outside the standardised HD model range.
When is a custom-built hydraulic press required?
A custom-built project is only relevant when standard hydraulic workshop presses are technically or functionally insufficient.
This applies, among other cases, when:
- standard press models are structurally or functionally inadequate
- dimensions, stroke, pressing direction, or installation conditions deviate from standard configurations
- integration into an existing production line or system is required
- increased requirements apply to structural load, accuracy, or cycle time
- the application is project-specific
For common pressing and straightening operations in workshops and industrial environments, a standard workshop press from the HD Series is generally sufficient. In such cases, a custom-built solution is explicitly not applied.

Technical input data as the starting point
Custom-built projects always start with clearly defined technical input data. This consists of:
- a provided technical drawing, or
- a functional description with defined boundary conditions
If no final drawing is available, press capacity, structural layout, stroke, and execution are defined based on load, application requirements, and applicable safety and regulatory frameworks.
Engineering is applied exclusively when the technical boundary conditions can be sufficiently defined.
Engineering and technical design
Within custom-built projects, HYDRONIXS undertakes the complete technical design of the hydraulic press, including:
- structural design of the frame and press assembly
- hydraulic system design and dimensioning
- definition of press capacity, stroke, and working area
- integration of control and safety systems
- verification in accordance with applicable CE directives
Engineering is not a standalone service, but an integral part of the custom project process.
Production, testing, and delivery
Following completion of the technical design, the hydraulic press is fully manufactured.
The project process includes:
- manufacture of frames and main components
- assembly of the hydraulic system
- functional and technical testing
- delivery in accordance with the agreed specifications
Each custom-built press is realised on a project basis and features a unique configuration.
Relationship to the HD Series
The fixed HD Series has been developed for standardised workshop applications with predictable load conditions and usage intensity.
Custom-built solutions are exclusively intended for situations where these standard models are technically or functionally insufficient. Both project paths exist in parallel and are deliberately positioned as clearly separated.
Request an engineering or custom-built project
An enquiry may relate to:
- a standard hydraulic workshop press from the HD Series, or
- a project-based custom-built hydraulic press
Based on the provided technical information, an assessment is made as to which project path is technically appropriate.
